Early spring is here — and the kitchen is celebrating. This week's menu features crispy braised Pork Belly with apple butter and pickled mustard seeds, and seared Tuna Tataki with ponzu and wonton crisps. Alongside local oysters from the Damariscotta River and Brown Butter Scallops, it's a menu built to mark the season.

Modern Barn is a family-owned, fiercely local restaurant built around seasonal Maine ingredients, award-winning wines, and warm, genuine hospitality.
Nestled in the White Mountains of western Maine, Modern Barn occupies a lovingly restored 19th-century barn on Summer Street in Bethel. Exposed beams and corrugated steel carry the bones of the original structure — now home to a kitchen shaped by decades of hospitality expertise. The menu leans into handmade pasta, slow braises, and cold-water seafood built for winter appetite. Fine dining standards, built for everyday living.
Genuine warmth and fine craft are not opposites here. Jessica and Michael Stasinos built Modern Barn on that belief — and every member of the team works to make every guest feel like a neighbor, whether you're a local stopping in on a Tuesday or a visitor who drove three hours for the occasion.
