Modern Barn is a family-owned, fiercely local restaurant built around seasonal Maine ingredients, award-winning wines, and warm, genuine hospitality.
Jessica and Michael Stasinos opened Modern Barn with a simple belief: that fine dining and genuine warmth are not opposites. Six years later, that belief shapes every plate, every pour, and every welcome at the door.

— The Beginning
Nestled in the White Mountains of western Maine, Modern Barn occupies a lovingly restored 19th-century barn on Summer Street in Bethel. Exposed beams and corrugated steel carry the bones of the original structure — now home to a kitchen shaped by decades of hospitality expertise.
Michael brings a chef's precision and a deep respect for Maine's seasonal bounty. Jessica brings the warmth, the eye for detail, and the front-of-house instinct that makes every guest feel at home. Together, they built something Bethel didn't know it needed — and now can't imagine without.
The menu leans into handmade pasta, slow braises, and cold-water seafood built for winter appetite. Fine dining standards, built for everyday living.
